Hello my name is Chris, I’m a new member. I’m located in Florida.

At the moment I’m working on setting up a couple of team radio’s (BaoFeng 1701’s). Does anyone have a basic code plug for these?

I read a couple of the getting started with the 1701’s articles on the web site. It’s unclear to me how to set up separate Receive and transmit frequencies.

For example on page 124 in The Guerrilla’s Guide to The Baofeng Radio. There are some Instructions that don’t seem to apply to the 1701’s Directly. It seems like the RX frequency and the TX frequency found under the utilities menu/program radio are possibly for use with a repeater? It doesn’t look like there’s a need to set an offset on these radios either?

PS I need to sign up for an RTO class!
