New member and Basic RTO alumni checking in.
Re: Checking in from MT.
Take a look at the comms sub-forums here. You are in a handy place for your being of useful help. I am ASS-U-ming you went to the class in Missoula a couple years back.
There is a traffic net that meets for a very brief time on 3.923.5 at 1300Z, 7 days/wk. Ragchews before and after happen. You might listen in if you have HF capabilities, then get involved.
Welcome here.

Re: Checking in from MT.
Your assumption is close, I was at the Hamilton class of ‘19. I do have HF and I’ll try to listen in the morning.
Re: Checking in from MT.
There is an ongoing attempt to get a strong regional net going. There's maybe half a dozen forum users here who can talk to each other reliably on 80m. From CA to ID and a couple WY stations. MT certainly.
You can scroll down to the bottom of the home page here and look for PNW/redoubt area for news. Anyway there is 3.923.5 at 1300 UTC, daily.

Hey Hootch!!! Welcome to the new forum. Hope to hear you on the 0700 daily net. Is not our “forum” net its a ARRL Traffic Net, but a place to meet that has a consistent link up time and structure. So we meet there and if we want to talk forum stuff we go up or down 5 on the band. For instance 3.918.50 would be the down location. If there are enough of us checking in I usually call “RRG go up” or “RRG go down”, then we move.
Once again welcome to the fold.
