What up NC!
Coming from the land of gruesome Newsome, nor Cal...
I'm running a QuanSheng UV-R50.
I can help with design, logos and branding.
I'm hoping to listen in on some repeaters out here in the west, and participate in some comms networks if possible.
I hope to get to an RTO class soon.
I do need help with my local MAG.

Re: West coast representative
Welcome from N California. Have your Tech license yet? WD6AXM, W6RHC West and East, N6YCK are repeaters that I can hit. Glad you are here.

Hi, I'm still working on my license very slowly. I'm still getting my understanding of antenna's and frequencies dialed in.
Re: West coast representative
Welcome from N. Cal as well. @alphavravo36 has already helped me tremendously and I've imported all the repeaters in my county via CHIRP. I'm picking up the pace on the technican license study because as soon as I get my license I promised myself (and husband agreed) to invest in nice base ham equipment and build an antenna. Most of us learn more by doing as we study, which is why Alphabravo helping me setup what I have brought me further along fairly quickly.
My husband is the local cat whisperer, and formerly a horse whisperer, which is interesting because he is also a man of strength, prior Navy, current LEO, and cuts and splits the firewood we use for heat, among many other things quite manly. Because of him and over 30 years of nurturing I've learned to love animals and the mountains and to view the world with more awareness (tactically), to love shooting and become a good shot, and even get into LE myself. We are both Deputy Sheriff, as long as our department sticks to "your rights come 1st, and government comes 2nd. Your rights come first when a Sheriff takes their Oath to uphold and defend the Constitution seriously. This is fundamental to the security of our American way of life. The opposite happens when a Sheriff just "goes with the flow". The reason we stay with our LE work is it keeps us involved with the community in a unique way as well as very awesome training opportunities, and we can give to the community when needed, and have done so over the years in many emergencies.
But back to the cats... because my husband is so amazing at taming skittish cats, our local vet gives us very unique Scottish Fold cats and we have several and they are quite unique and beautiful and I've learned to love them tremendously. In addition, they are little predators and I've learned a lot by watching them! I think my husband loves them for that reason, as well as his instinct to be a provider and protector.
If you really draw cats well, I might be able to use your talent to create a gift for my husband
