With the low profile harness so you can wear it UNDER a chest rig/PC/whatever I really like the look of it. Assuming of course you're only using an assault-pack-sized pack rather than a full on massive frame pack with a fat hip belt. Carry less on your chest.

I'd definitely need suspenders with that belt or I'd be standing around with the belt and my britches around my ankles.

You're supposed to wear them with a harness of some kind, yes. This is not new tech.

I always enjoy looking at British designed gear. The biggest problem with this belt system is the fixed nature of the pouches. No customizing at all. It looks bulky and you would end up seriously tempted to fill every pouch just because it's there.

I have thought about it, but I've not yet come up with an idea of something I'm happy with.

That's a deliberate choice on their part. Molle is bulkier than fixed and flops around more. Same goes for chest rigs.

I don't need any more gear! But that looks just fine. The fixed pouches are lighter than the molle gear as well. About 25% lighter by weight I believe. That adds up. I trimmed up a vest for one of my rifles and the process took 2 pounds of nylon off the vest.

You can run a full sized ruck with a belt kit of that type/style, in fact that's part of the design. If you're using a Large ALICE for example, the bottom of the frame sits on top of the flat shelf at the rear of those pouches. By doing so the belt rig takes the place of the waist strap and transfers the bulk of the load on to your hips. It's also possible to achieve the same results with a modded LCE (sans usgi canteens & canteen pouches) as well.

Carrying your fighting load around your hips is the least fatiguing method when traversing uneven ground. In 2004, the Army published this fact in a paper titled, Soldier load carriage: historical, physiological, biomechanical, and medical aspects (https://academic.oup.com/milmed/article ... 45/4283570). Aside from fatigue, another big bonus of placing weight on your hips is heat management. Anything you place on your chest or back that blocks airflow, heat radiation, and sweat evaporation will increase your risk of heat-related injuries. Also a properly setup belt kit allows you to better make use of micro/macro-terrain features to get lower to the ground while in the prone position, move faster while high/low crawling, and shoot from a lower profile & more stable position.

Belt kits are not without their limitations & drawbacks but unless I'm going to be kicking doors, doing tubular assaults, or sitting in a vehicle the majority of the time... I'll be grabbing my old-school belt kit over other kit options (vests, chest rigs, direct pouch mounted plate carrier setups, etc.).
But of course as always your mileage may vary.

It's actually LESS bulky than MOLLE gear. Molle gear is heavier compared to purpose made gear as well.
Less material equals less weight and less bulk.

Being an ex Pat Belt kits are normal. I have a couple of rigs I run, one is the Mayflower/ Velocity Systems Jungle rig. I run pouches instead of the butt pack on mine. The other is the no longer sold First Spear Assaulters belt / Yoke. I run a variety of pouches on the belt.

If I add a bumroll or day sack a 48hr patrol is doable without a ruck. I can add a plate carrier over the yokes if need and or a ruck. I have Crossfire DG3 and in short back mode it rides on the belt pouches. If I could figure out how to load pictures I would add some
