Re: Olaes hemostatic bandage
I don’t have any experience with one, but the concept is sound. I dig this for an IFAK. I might have to get a few to try out at the next class.
But for aid bags and pretty much anything else my standard is Hemostatic gauze and ace wrap.

My department has them as part of our mass casualty bags. They are nice, multifunctional, but I find them very bulky especially for an IFAK.
Everyone dies. It is how you stand that matters.
Re: Olaes hemostatic bandage
Do they make a flat-pack version? Also, https://combatmedical.com makes some AMAZING gear. I ran into them at a conference and their stuff was innovative, usable and looked to be incredibly effective while saving weight/space.
Live or die, it's how you act today that's gonna matter.

They have a flat pack in the 4" bandage only. tacmedsolutions.com
mymedic.com, does the same "module" packing as do a few others I have seen.

Re: Olaes hemostatic bandage
The Olaes bandage is a great piece of kit. I greatly prefer it to the "Israel Bandage". The Olaes incorporates a number of feature which are multi-use.
-3ish meters of gauze which you can use to wound pack (Kerlix is, assuming you know how to wound pack, just as effective as a hemostatic dressing)
-12'"x12" piece of plastic for an occlusive dressing
-Plastic pressure cup, which can be ripped off and used as an eye cup
The elastic "brakes" on the bandage portion of the dressing helps if you accidentally drop the bandage.
I've got a couple of the flat packed versions (they fit nicely in pockets in the M9 medic bag and in an ankle kit). Really its six of one, half dozen the other.
Check out Rescue Essentials for the flat pack. Its the same price.
