Hi from NC, near Raleigh

Post by FalseFlat »

Well, Hello from Wake County, NC! I just got back and am now an Alumni of the RTO-SigInt course!

This was my first BB course with @NCSCOUT. It was a 6-day extravaganza of radio fun, new techniques and tools, insightful stories, practical and first-hand knowledge sharing, measured analysis and great camaraderie.

Plans after class include reviewing notes, tools, practice techniques, build more antennas and figure out what will work in the local area. I can jump on HF if anyone is looking to experiment - I need to try some different antenna designs and orientations.

Welcome from a fellow Wake resident (although I’m slowly escaping to Chatham - I know out of the frying pan and into the fire…).

Kinda behind on my HAM preps now but I need to get going again.

Lots of good info here - dive in!

@codename-alfred it was good chatting with you last week! Especially about the antennas on our trucks - I might start looking into installing a CB soon. I'm sure the Q900 will get me motivated 8-)
