hey - I'm Joe. I've spent quite a bit of my adult life with a radio mic in my hand - chronologically, Marine radio, pirate HF, low power cw (ok, not a mic), Ham, and even this newfangled DMR thing.. Before I was 40 I'd spent more nights outdoors than in... I've spent a good portion of my life in austere environments... both at sea and in mountains, spanning 5 continents. I'd love to see the icier regions too. No stranger to urban life. Sadly, the last couple decades have been spent in suburbs, but, this too will pass.
