Was first introduced to NC Scout back in spring 2021 I think, w "Fighting Carbine class". One of the RV crew from the keystone state, great time.
Then followed up by RTO, ADV RTO and Signals intelligence. This information and training was way over my head, but I knew I needed it. We all need it. Great group of knowledgeable guys there...watch out for the Chiggers Steve! I was probable the only guy there that didn't know how to program a channel into the Baofeng before I came.
Here comes the huge slice of humble pie for me lol I am so excited to come to upcoming Scout/Recce course in October. So excited in fact, that I got my months mixed, packed up all my shit and drove down to class...hmmm last week..ugh...one month early. Nice 13 hour round trip for me.
My loving nephew said to me, "Well better to be early to class, than late!"

...thanks guys, appreciate your compassion. Unfortunately, it gets even better lol. I wanted to "bag" my stupid smart apple phone & its GPS wisdom and do real navigation work on the way down and back. Well...hmmm, ummmm, yea! I got lost not once, but twice lol. return trip was... Blue Mountain parkway is absolutely beautiful and was in no way to be part of my path. I thought I heard banjos a couple times. Damn those mountains are steep and may God have mercy on my soul if we have to hoof it out there. My only hope is in God. Seriously...He takes the things that "are not", to confound those who claim themselves to be wise. this way, there is only one to receive praise.
