Welcome! Always good to hear from our northern neighbors in the 51st state.

I’m a duel citizen. Where I’m at should always have been Alaska anyway lol.

no prior military. I’ve been a mountain hunting guide for 18 consecutive seasons, and a fishing guide for 20. I run a remote trapline and am a part time first responder. I am happy to contribute to topics in my area of expertise, such as they are.
I’m hoping to learn more about radio communications for very remote areas. I no longer trust our infrastructure, nor the people controlling it, and I’d like to be prepared.
I’ll probably be reading through the forums a lot, and asking questions here and there.

Ha! Sometimes it’s nice. Last half of December temps bounced between -35c and -50c now that it’s warmed up it’s dumped around 2 feet of snow in 3 days.
