Hi, I'm glad to finally be a part of this forum.
My path to here has been an interesting one:
I come from a conservative, Christian family in NW North Dakota with roots in Montana.
Went to West Point straight out of high school but left the day before I had to commit for another 10 years.
Left there and went straight to the mountains of Montana to finish my degree.
After graduating, I headed back to oilfield country to pay off my debts.
Now I am back in the mountains, living with my wife and raising my 4, soon to be 5 kids.
Love this country, fear for its future, originally inspired by Ron Paul, red-pilled by Alex Jones, brought to American Partisan by Matt Bracken, and now signed up for Badlands Fieldcraft this April. Can't wait. Looking forward to conversing with all of you. God bless.

Welcome aboard! From that part of the country but now live in flat lander territory in Louisiana for work.

Re: Hello from Montana
Glad to have you. I’m in west central Montana. Are you close?
Re: Hello from Montana
Thank you, all. I'm in the Bozeman area.
Re: Hello from Montana
Do you have any HF radio capability?
Re: Hello from Montana
I only have my tech license at this time. I'd like to upgrade eventually.
Other than buying a handful of Baofengs and calling in to our local repeater, I really don't know what I'm doing.

Re: Hello from Montana
Get your license upgraded soonest, along with your HF capes as asked above by hootch. Time is short, this is not a drill.
Welcome to the forum and it's good to have you in the neighborhood. I'm on the border one state down.
Can you expand on that South Hudson Institute of Technology comment, that they wanted another ten years from you?
Re: Hello from Montana
Yeah, I've put it on the back burner for too long. I think I'll start studying for it, thanks for the motivation.
Haha I had forgotten about the S.H.I.T. reference, thanks for that as well.
10 years = 2 more to graduate, 5 active, 3 reserve. Once you start your 3rd academic year, you're locked in and owe Uncle Sam a lot of $$$ if you voluntarily leave/get kicked out. They give you two years to figure out if it's what you want to do.

Also, fyi, there is a good firearms training company in Belgrade. Their name is Tactic. I took carbine 1-3 there and learned/ improved a lot.
