Good to hear somebody is out in this state, Ha! I've never done the radio stuff, was never exposed to it before Scouts courses so I'm in the midst of collecting gear and what not. Any suggestions as far as basic beginner stuff to educate myself?

Thanks Cjcullom, I think, lol. Well, I didn't grow up out here anyways, 7th state I've lived in, just happens to be where I began a career.

Thank you for having me Scout!
Thank you ColdSteel! Hitting up TX later this August for some pig hunting.
Read through the link twice AlphaBravo. I have some uv5rs and looking at getting an Anytone AT-d878UVII. I guess what I was really asking, I'll hit up the local HAM radio store and see about some basic intro materials I can start with and maybe one of the clubs here in SD to get started.
