Greetings from Central Texas

Hey everyone,
New forum member from the central Texas area. I've lurked the American Partisan blog (on and off) for a few years now, which recently lead me here in hope of finding kindred spirits in fitness, training, technical proficiency, grid-down comms and HUMINT/SINGINT/OSINT. I served a while and was a contractor for a while after that - which means that like NC Scout, I've seen the best and worst sides of humanity, and have a lot to pray for.

Anyways, feel free to DM me anytime - especially if you want touch base via 70cm and 2m waves here in Texas (6m & 10m on its way).

Just noticed this post. Sorry for being slow.

Right next door near Shreveport, LA. All of you should be in easy 80m NVIS range.
A little too far for 2m SSB (max is about 200 miles)

We're transplants from Colorado, both retired military, and I'm still working for them as a civilian.

Have you shortened up that 80m dipole to get it resonant in-band yet?
