Re: New member from Raleigh NC

Howdy! I went to school in Raleigh from first grade through college, but I’m in the process of escaping the area and moving a county west (Chatham). Raleigh has become…too much of a Blue Hive for me. Used to be an awesome place… Anyway lots of good info here! And many members from central NC as well.

Re: Checking in from NC

Love it, I always think of High Point as being the middle but I have no idea where it actually is. West of Winston is home for me. It depends upon whom you ask, and what method of measurement they use. I’ve read that Star, a tiny town in Montgomery County has a marker stating such. Perhaps updated ...

Re: Checking in from NC

Howdy from smack dab in the middle of NC (or thereabouts - some argue where the actual center is…)!

Welcome aboard. I’ve been through WV enough to know it’s got a lot going for it. As does this place.

Re: Another member from NC/Appalachiastan

Aye, another NC reference in the flag there. I’m in Chatham county - still too close to Chapel Hill (Berkeley East) for my liking, but for now makin’ it work. Also, my particular US General family member is Grey Man Grey. ;) https://www.harborfreight.com/tool-storage-organization/u-s-general-tool-st...

Re: Another member from NC/Appalachiastan

Welcome from another NC dweller. Appalachiastan ain’t a bad place to be, although some spots in the Asheville area have become rather pinkoe on the last decade or so… (I wonder if anyone gets the “pinkoe” reference. For bonus points, what other North Carolinian once used the term in popular entertai...

Re: New Memeber from NE Nebraska

Welcome aboard! Ah, Whittington. I love that place and have been there a few times. Alas, the most recent time was WAY back in 1998 for a couple of Jeff Cooper classes. Clearly I’m way overdue a visit… Good to hear that you’re involved in the shooting sports. In another life I did a bit of shooting ...
