Thanks guys, glad you enjoyed it. You both are correct as to why I used the poncho, to avoid creating spoor and to help fill the hole in easier. Anything you guys would have done differently? I'm not Badlands Rifleman, but this is what they taught me back when I was in the infantry.... Putting the dirt on the poncho ensures it does not contaminate the ground, since you can never recover it all if it is just put on the ground. If any is left on the ground, it is considered ground spoor. P...

The CHIEF patrol pack is a great ruck. I paid for mine instead of turning it back in to SPEAR/SSAVIE when I left the military. I have a PDF of the instruction manual if anyone wants it. Let me know.
